Hamilton Locke is seeking a commercially astute Litigation Lawyer to join our high-performing national disputes team in Sydney. You will work on complex, high-value matters and collaborate with senior leaders to advance a nationally recognised disputes practice.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience practicing as a Lawyer with litigation experience.
• Strong interest in disputes, investigations, and regulatory matters.
• Collaborative approach with a proactive desire to learn from experienced practitioners.
• Confidence in managing competing priorities and deadlines.
• Commercial mindset and proactive client service.

Responsibilities

• Litigate contractual and commercial claims.
• Represent head contractors and subcontractors in infrastructure and construction disputes.
• Handle insolvency and restructuring-related disputes.
• Manage shareholder oppression and partnership disputes.
• Defend regulatory investigations and prosecutions (including by ASIC).
• Advise boards and officers on corporate governance and risk analysis.
• Act in joint venture, M&A, and financial services disputes.
