Job summary

Hamilton Locke is seeking a commercially astute Litigation Lawyer to join our high-performing national disputes team in Sydney. This role offers working with senior leaders on complex matters and opportunities for mentorship and professional development.

You will contribute to a nationally recognised disputes practice, handling a broad range of challenging matters while developing your litigation expertise in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience practicing as a Lawyer, with litigation experience.
• Strong interest in disputes, investigations, and regulatory matters.
• Collaborative approach with proactive client service.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Commercial mindset and professional development focus.

Responsibilities

• Litigate complex contractual and commercial claims.
• Act for head contractors and subcontractors in infrastructure and construction disputes.
• Handle insolvency and restructuring related disputes.
• Manage shareholder oppression and partnership disputes.
• Defend regulatory investigations and prosecutions (ASIC).
• Advise boards and officers on governance and risk.
• Involve in joint ventures, M&A, and financial services disputes.
