Job summary

Veolia ANZ is seeking a positive and energetic Vehicle Logistics Officer to join our busy operations team in Dry Creek, South Australia (5094). You’ll coordinate driver runs, schedule routes and ensure operations are executed safely, with a focus on health, safety, quality and environment.

You’ll work with liquid tanker drivers, customers and internal teams to optimise performance, manage paperwork, and support the fleet with proactive problem solving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Waste Management, Transport, Logistics or Service Industry experience.
• A solid understanding of heavy vehicle transport regulations.
• Leadership skills to motivate staff and maintain a positive work culture.
• Advanced problem solving skills to resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
• Strong people skills, ability to communicate and negotiate and able to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Intermediate computer skills, proficient in excel, google suite and salesforce.
• A strong focus on health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling, coordinating and monitoring liquid tanker fleet, and providing support to packaged waste scheduling as required.
• Proactively review route performance to identify optimisation and improvement opportunities for efficiency.
• Comply with dangerous goods, hauled waste and EPA licenses.
• Communicate with both drivers and customers.
• Ensuring all paperwork and runsheets are correct and accurate.
• Problem solve by responding to customer issues that are of immediate operational concern with a solutions focus.
• Respond to any operational queries raised by the Customer Services Team/Sales Team and/or customer.
• Conduct daily end of shift driver debrief meetings, discuss run efficiencies and capture any incidents or compliance issues.
