Job summary

Mode Talent Pty Ltd in Sydney CBD is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer/Production Engineer to support Proprietary trading infra. The role focuses on Linux, Co-Lo, high-frequency trading environments, and low-latency architectures. Expect 24/7 crypto trading roster with on-call 2 x 12-hour shifts, 1 weekend every three, and a 4-day work week with appealing bonus potential.

Qualifications

• Extensive Linux experience, preferably on-prem/Co-Lo environments.
• Experience in high-frequency trading or financial infrastructure is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with performance profiling and debugging of complex stacks.

Responsibilities

• Support global HPC and trading infrastructure across multiple markets.
• Design, deploy and maintain reliable, low-latency services and systems.
• Perform root-cause analysis and incident response to keep systems running smoothly.

Roster supporting 24/7 crypto trading - 1 weekend in every three will be on call 2 12-hour shifts, with a maximum of 2 years on this roster and then back to 5 businessdays.

Large On-Prem, Co-Lo Linux experience a must, HFT, trading or Financial Industrya Bonus

Operate as one global team to support infrastructure, including multiple world-leading High-Performance Computing environments and a diverse global trading infrastructure that operates across many global financial markets.

• Networking knowledge and a willingness to learn more
• Scripting competence with either Go or Python
• Extensive experience profiling and debugging application stacks
• Extensive experience designing, building, and maintaining complicated systems
• Experience with system configuration management tools (Salt, Puppet, Ansible, etc.)
