Leidos Australia is seeking an Application Support Engineer to join a collaborative, Linux-based environment. You will help support and improve critical applications, owning incidents end-to-end and advancing observability and reliability across the platform.

The role emphasizes hands-on technical growth, ongoing learning, and cross-team collaboration with developers, engineers and stakeholders. ITIL and modern tooling exposure are highlighted as key development opportunities.

Formación

• Hands-on experience troubleshooting and resolving application issues in production.
• Experience supporting applications on Linux/Unix systems.
• Understanding of networks, protocols, and diagnostic tools used in application support.
• Ability to use scripting or automation to improve operational efficiency.
• Working understanding of how applications are built, deployed, supported, and improved across their lifecycle.

Responsabilidades

• Provide Level 2/3 application and systems support in a Linux/Unix environment with proactive monitoring.
• Own incidents end-to-end from triage to resolution and post-incident reviews.
• Perform root cause analysis with ITSM, developers and end users to implement fixes.
• Deploy software updates, patches, and fixes per change and release management practices.
• Collaborate across development and support lifecycles to improve reliability and observability.
• Create and maintain clear operational and technical documentation for ongoing operations.
