Job summary

Leidos Australia is seeking an Application Support Engineer to join a collaborative, Linux-focused team. You will work across the full application lifecycle to support and improve critical Linux-based applications, owning incidents end-to-end and applying proactive monitoring to drive reliability.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience troubleshooting and resolving application issues in a production environment.
• Experience supporting applications on Linux/Unix systems, or strong foundational knowledge with a desire to work in Linux environments every day.
• Understanding of networks, protocols, and diagnostic tools used in application support.
• Ability to use scripting or automation to improve operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2/3 application and systems support in a Linux/Unix environment with a focus on proactive monitoring and performance management.
• Own incidents end-to-end from triage to resolution and post-incident review.
• Deploy software updates, patches and fixes per change management practices.
• Collaborate across development and support lifecycles to improve reliability and observability.
