Job summary

Western Power in Balcatta, WA is seeking a Lineworker for the Fault Repair team. The role focuses on constructing and maintaining distribution networks, responding quickly to faults, and delivering high-quality work with customer interaction.

Based at Balcatta Depot, you’ll work in various conditions, plan and execute tasks safely, and have opportunities for training and development within a forward-looking energy company.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction and maintenance of the distribution electricity network.
• HOU and LOU Switching is highly regarded but not essential.
• New Zealand Electricity Supply (Distribution) Minimum Level 4 is noted as a benchmark when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Construct and maintain the transmission and/or distribution electricity network to ensure safe, reliable, and affordable supply.
• Rectify faults promptly and isolate the network for repairs to minimise customer impact.
• Participate on the on-call roster.
• Execute programmed construction and maintenance work to ensure safe operation of the network.
• Construct network infrastructure per design specifications and address on-site issues.
