Job summary

Western Power is seeking a Lineworker for a permanent DIDO position based in Perth, WA. The role involves travelling from Balcatta to Central North depots, covering Moora and Three Springs, with 150 hours over a 4-week roster.

You will respond to faults, work with regional crews on maintenance, and perform construction to Western Power standards while developing core line skills and safety planning. This is a demanding but rewarding role during WA’s energy transition.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in ESI – Power System Distribution Overhead or equivalent.
• Proven experience in construction and maintenance of distribution electricity networks.
• HOU and LOU Switching experience (highly regarded).
• HC driver’s licence (highly regarded).
• C2 Crane licence (highly regarded).
• Glove and Barrier work authorisation (highly regarded).

Responsibilities

• Respond to faults promptly to minimise supply disruptions.
• Work with locally based crews on planned and unplanned maintenance.
• Complete construction and maintenance work to Western Power standards.
• Maintain and develop core line skills.
• Participate in pre-job planning to ensure safety and reliability.
• Uphold excellent customer relations when interacting with the public.
