Job summary

Horizon Power in Carnarvon, WA, seeks a Lineworker to construct, maintain and repair distribution networks across local and remote communities. You will perform switching on HV/LV systems, remediate faults and ensure rapid, safe power restoration.

The role requires a Certificate III in ESI – Distribution Overhead, hands‑on switch work, and a willingness to travel to support nearby depots. On‑call duties apply; housing allowances are offered.

Qualifications

  • Certificate III in ESI – Distribution Overhead required.
  • Experience with distribution networks (overhead/underground) preferred.
  • Manual switching experience and fault remediation skills valued.

Responsibilities

  • Construct, maintain and repair distribution networks across Carnarvon and surrounding remote communities.
  • Remediate faults and restore power quickly and safely.
  • Perform switching on high/low voltage systems; respond to faults and upgrade networks.
  • Participate in on‑call roster and travel to nearby depots as needed.

Lineworker

Your work will include construction, maintenance and repair of distribution networks across the Carnarvon area and surrounding remote communities. Fault remediation and restoration – ensuring power is restored quickly and safely. Perform switching operations on high and low voltage systems, fault response and network upgrades. You’ll participate in an on‑call roster and travel to nearby regional locations to support other depots when required.

What You'll Bring:
  • Certificate III in ESI – Distribution Overhead
  • Experience with distribution networks (overhead and/or underground)
  • C-Class Driver's Licence (HR preferred)
  • EWP, Working at Heights and Dogging/Rigging
  • Strong Switching experience and solid fault finding skills
  • Safety first mindset – you’ll bring a calm, methodical approach under pressure
