Goodpeople HR in Melbourne is seeking a Line Setter / Machine Setter for the night shift in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for setting up lines, operating packaging equipment and ensuring smooth changeovers.

The role requires at least five years in pharma/ FMCG manufacturing, strong mechanical aptitude, ability to troubleshoot, and strict adherence to GMP and OH&S standards. Forklift experience is a plus; own car and license preferred.

• Experience with setting up and changeovers and cleaning of packaging machinery on a production line is a must.
• Must have PR or AU/NZ Citizenship.

Aufgaben

• Ensure the line runs efficiently and productively; coordinate tasks so the line runs continuously.
• Complete changeovers of production equipment (Filling, Capping & Labelling) within set time periods.
• Troubleshoot and adjust equipment during runs to maximise output and minimise downtime.
• Set up filling and packing equipment and strip down, wash and reassemble filling equipment to produce a quality product as efficiently as possible.
• Monitor product quality throughout the filling run and adjust to maintain GMP standards.
• Operate and maintain equipment safely, change parts as needed and follow GMP/OHS guidelines.
• Complete required ERP and documentation tasks and participate in SOPs, GMP, OH&S and 5S training.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; high mechanical aptitude; proactive and able to work unsupervised.
• Proven machine operating experience in pharmaceutical or food manufacturing; forklift licence is advantageous.

Experience

Day to Day responsibilities:

• Ensure that the line runs efficiently and productively; coordinate tasks so that the line runs as continuously as possible
• Complete changeover of production equipment such as Filling, Capping & Labelling with accuracy and in a set time period
• Troubleshoot and adjust equipment during the run to achieve optimum output and minimal downtime minimise wastage
• Set up filling and packing equipment and strip down, wash and reassemble filling equipment to produce a quality product as efficiently as possible
• Monitor the quality of product throughout the filling run and make appropriate adjustments to maintain quality and compliance
• Be able to operate and maintain equipment safely and change parts in a clean and orderly manner
• Ensure that all work is done according to the highest standards of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
• Carry out required tasks in ERP and other systems; complete all relevant documentation and reporting
• Participate in required training, including SOPs, GMP, OH&S and 5S
• Written and oral communication skills
• High mechanical aptitude
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Advanced GMP and a sound understanding of OHS
• Proactive, self-motivated and able to work unsupervised
• Proven machine operating experience in either food manufacturing or pharmaceutical
• Experience is advantageous in a similar role. Forklift licence advantageous.
