Job summary

Aware Super is seeking a Risk & Compliance Manager on a parental leave cover basis to support the Senior Risk & Compliance Manager in delivering a Line 2 risk framework. The role focuses on oversight of operational risks across the Financial Advice business and strengthens controls through audits and thematic reviews.

The 8‑month max term position requires deep experience in superannuation or financial advice, with a strong emphasis on Best Interest Duty and regulatory reporting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in superannuation or financial advice.
• Strong Line 2 operational risk background.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and deliver the Line 2 assurance program with audits and control strength.
• Lead Line 2 oversight of the Incident & Breach Management Framework and reporting.
• Guide business units on compliance obligations and regulatory integration.
• Provide risk insights for Senior Leaders, Committees and external stakeholders.
• Support business resilience planning with impact assessments and continuity testing.
• Provide Line 2 oversight, review and challenge across operational risks.
