Fuse Recruitment is seeking an experienced Risk Lead to join a major superannuation administration client. You will own Line 1 operational risk, compliance frameworks and readiness programs across client operations, partnering with administration teams and risk functions to embed robust controls and governance.

In this role you will develop risk registers, assess controls, manage risk events and support client transitions and service changes, while reporting insights to senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in superannuation administration or related financial services.
• Strong understanding of operational risk and compliance.
• Experience with Line 1 risk and Line 2 oversight.
• Knowledge of CPS 230 and operational resilience.

• Partner with administration and client teams to identify, assess and manage operational risks.
• Ensure controls, policies, procedures and risk assessments are established and operating effectively.

• Coordinate responses to client, trustee and assurance requests.

Risk Lead – Superannuation Administration

We are seeking an experienced Risk Lead to support a major client within a superannuation administration environment. This role will take ownership of key operational risk, compliance and transition activities, working closely with administration teams, client stakeholders and Risk & Compliance functions.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who understands the complexities of superannuation administration and operational risk and can ensure appropriate controls, governance and risk frameworks are embedded across client operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Line 1 operational risk and compliance activities across superannuation administration operations
• Partner with administration and client teams to identify, assess and manage operational risks
• Ensure appropriate controls, policies, procedures and risk assessments are established and operating effectively
• Support operational readiness and risk activities associated with client transitions, projects and service changes
• Develop and maintain risk registers, control assessments, readiness checklists and supporting evidence
• Coordinate responses to client, trustee and assurance requests, ensuring actions and remediation items are appropriately tracked
• Monitor operational issues, incidents and emerging risks across the administration function
• Work closely with Line 2 Risk & Compliance teams to ensure appropriate oversight and escalation
• Support continuous improvement of the risk and control environment across client administration operations
• Provide clear risk reporting and insights to senior operational and client stakeholders

Requirements

• Previous experience within superannuation administration, fund administration or a closely related financial services environment
• Strong understanding of operational risk and compliance within a superannuation administration setting
• Experience working within Line 1 Risk, with a sound understanding of Line 2 oversight
• Knowledge of superannuation operational processes, controls and client/trustee expectations
• Understanding of CPS 230, operational resilience and broader risk management requirements
• Experience supporting client transitions, operational change or large-scale transformation programs
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across administration, client, project and Risk & Compliance teams
• Hands-on experience preparing and maintaining risk assessments, controls, policies, risk registers and assurance artefacts
