Job summary

Century Group is seeking a skilled Lighting Technician to design, set up and operate lighting for live events at its venues. You will work with directors and production teams to ensure performances are visually compelling and run smoothly.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of theatre or comparable experience, expert knowledge of in-house lighting equipment, and proficiency with ETC EOS consoles. Desirable qualifications include white card and related safety certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a performing arts centre, theatre, production company or related industry.
• Expert level competency on in-house equipment relevant to the department.
• ETC EOS consoles and software experience.
• Desirable: white Card, AS/NZS 3760 testing and tagging, safe operation of elevated work platforms, IT/network basics, AutoCAD, heights safety.

The Concourse is a state-of-the-art hub for culture, entertainment, information, retail, food and beverage, opened in Chatswood in September 2011.

Century Venues operate as the Managers of The Concourse, responsible for the Concert Hall, the Theatre and The Lounge.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Lighting Technician at Century, you willbe responsible fordesigning, setting up, andoperatinglighting consoles for a wide range of live events. You will work closely with directors, production teams, and other technical staff to ensure that every performance is visually stunning and runs smoothly.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES

Required:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a performing arts centre, theatre, productioncompanyor related industry is considered necessary.
• Demonstrated experience and high-level understanding of technical equipment used in performance spaces of this kind.
• Expert level competency on in-house equipment relevant to the department.
• ETC Eos consoles and software

Desirable:

• Competent Testing and tagging (AS/NZS 3760)
• Construction Industry Induction (white Card)
• Competent in safe operation of EWP’s (Vertical Lift)
• Experience with I.T. infrastructure, switching, and network management
• Basic or Intermediate Rigging License
• AutoCAD or similar experience
• Working Safely at Heights Competence
