Job summary

Century Venues seeks a Lighting Technician to design, set up and operate lighting for a wide range of live events at The Concourse, Chatswood. Work with directors, production teams and tech staff to deliver visually stunning performances and reliable show runs.

Ideal candidates bring at least 3 years in a performing arts setting, strong knowledge of venue tech, and expert competency on in-house gear, including ETC Eos consoles. Equity and safety are priorities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a performing arts centre, theatre, production company or related industry.
• Demonstrated experience and high-level understanding of technical equipment used in performance spaces of this kind.
• Expert level competency on in-house equipment relevant to the department.
• ETC Eos consoles and software experience.

The Concourse is a state-of-the-art hub for culture, entertainment, information, retail, food and beverage, opened in Chatswood in September 2011.

Century Venues operate as the Managers of The Concourse, responsible for the Concert Hall, the Theatre and The Lounge.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Lighting Technician at Century, you willbe responsible fordesigning, setting up, andoperatinglighting consoles for a wide range of live events. You will work closely with directors, production teams, and other technical staff to ensure that every performance is visually stunning and runs smoothly.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES

Required:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a performing arts centre, theatre, productioncompanyor related industry is considered necessary.
• Demonstrated experience and high-level understanding of technical equipment used in performance spaces of this kind.
• Expert level competency on in-house equipment relevant to the department.
• ETC Eos consoles and software

Desirable:

• Competent Testing and tagging (AS/NZS 3760)
• Construction Industry Induction (white Card)
• Competent in safe operation of EWP's (Vertical Lift)
• Experience with I.T. infrastructure, switching, and network management
• Basic or Intermediate Rigging License
• AutoCAD or similar experience
• Working Safely at Heights Competence
