Job summary

Century is seeking a Senior Lighting Technician to design, program and operate lighting for The Concourse and related venues in Chatswood. You will lead lighting operations for diverse live productions, collaborating with directors, touring crews and venue staff to deliver visually compelling performances.

We value extensive theatre lighting experience, color science, layered lighting, and a proactive approach to maintenance and safety.

Qualifications

• Extensive lighting design experience in theatre or live events.
• Proficiency with ETC EOS consoles and lighting control systems.
• Strong colour, cueing and layered lighting understanding.
• Experience leading casual staff and coordinating productions.
• Knowledge of safety standards and rigging basics.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise maintenance of lighting systems site-wide.
• Lead, train and manage casual lighting staff.
• Prepare equipment for events, including fixtures, cabling and control gear.
• Program, focus and operate lighting for diverse events.
• Support touring productions and internal teams with lighting plans.
• Apply lighting judgement across colour, balance and texture.
• Be flexible with hours and collaborate across departments.
• Provide process feedback to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Work as an all-rounder across lighting and production support.
