Job summary

Harry the Hirer is seeking an experienced Electronics Service Technician to join our Technical Services team in Melbourne. Working from our workshop, you will diagnose, repair, test, and maintain professional lighting equipment including moving lights, LED fixtures, and lighting control systems used in entertainment, events, theatre, television and architectural applications.

You will manage spare parts inventory, prepare repair quotations, perform PCB repairs, and document service activities.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' experience in electronics repair or technical service.
• Strong fault-finding of lighting fixtures and control systems.
• Ability to read schematics and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair professional lighting equipment and control systems.
• Manage spare parts inventory and assist with stocktakes.
• Troubleshoot moving lights, LED fixtures, power supplies, motors, sensors and control electronics.
• Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation.
• Prepare repair quotations and source replacement parts.
• Provide technical support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform component-level PCB repairs and electronic fault finding.
