Job summary

Qualifications

• Current automotive trade qualification or equivalent recognised certification.
• Proven experience as a light vehicle technician.
• Knowledge of light vehicle systems: mechanical, electrical and hydraulic.
• Ability to read manuals, wiring diagrams and service specifications.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport.

Brisbane Isuzu is seeking an experienced Light Vehicle Technician to join our service team in Eagle Farm, Queensland. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of vehicle servicing and repair. As a Light Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of light vehicles to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. Your expertise will directly impact customer satisfaction and contribute to the reputation of Brisbane Isuzu as a trusted automotive service provider.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks and tyre rotations
• Diagnose vehicle mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment and testing procedures
• Repair and replace vehicle components including engines, transmissions, suspension systems and brake systems
• Conduct pre-delivery inspections and vehicle safety checks to ensure compliance with standards
• Maintain accurate and detailed service records and work documentation
• Follow manufacturer specifications and service procedures for all repair work
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle issues and recommended repairs
• Keep the workshop area clean, organised and compliant with health and safety regulations
• Identify and report any potential safety hazards or equipment maintenance needs
• Work collaboratively with other technicians and service advisors to deliver quality service

What we’re looking for

• Current automotive trade qualification or equivalent recognised certification
• Proven experience as a light vehicle technician or similar automotive repair role
