Job summary

De Jong Hoists (AUS) is seeking Lift Mechanics to install, service and repair construction hoists across Perth metro and regional WA. Based at Malaga workshop, you will work on site and in client locations with emphasis on safety and quality workmanship.

You'll read blueprints, lay out foundations, install electrical switchboards, test systems and troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic and mechanical faults with supported training and ongoing tickets funded by the company.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical Trade) or equivalent trade qualification.
• Experience with construction hoists, mast climbers or similar lift equipment.
• English sufficient to interpret technical documentation and write reports.
• WA driver's license and White Card; training in Heights and EWP tickets.

Responsibilities

• Examine blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturer specs to plan installation.
• Measure and lay out reference points, base frames and mast alignment.
• Install, test and adjust rack-and-pinion hoists and related equipment.
• Maintain, service and repair hoists on site and in the workshop.
• Install electrical switchboards and control panels; test circuits.
• Diagnose faults using specialist electrical test equipment.
