Job summary

LVL80 NSW Pty Ltd is seeking a qualified electrician with rigging experience to join the Hoists team. The role covers installation, maintenance, servicing and dismantling of personnel and materials hoists across NSW projects.

You will work hands-on on construction sites, ensure safety and complete inspections and documentation. NSW Electrical Licence and High Risk Work Rigging Licence are required.

Qualifications

• Current NSW Electrical Licence required.
• Current High Risk Work Rigging Licence required.
• Construction Industry White Card required.
• Working at Heights competency required.
• Experience with construction hoists/cranes or similar lifting equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, erect and dismantle construction hoists.
• Electrical installation, fault finding, maintenance and repairs of hoist equipment.
• Carry out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Perform rigging activities for hoist installation and dismantling.
• Inspect and test electrical and mechanical components.

Job description

Working as part of the Hoists team, this is a hands‑on role suited to a qualified electrician with rigging experience who is comfortable working in the construction environment and involved in the installation, maintenance, servicing and dismantling of personnel and materials hoists across NSW projects.

Key responsibilities

• Installation, erection and dismantling of construction hoists
• Electrical installation, fault finding, maintenance and repairs of hoist equipment
• Carrying out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
• Rigging activities associated with hoist installation and dismantling
• Inspection and testing of electrical and mechanical components
• Diagnosing faults and assisting with breakdowns
• Working safely at heights and within active construction environments
• Completing required inspections, pre-starts and associated documentation
• Working closely with site teams, supervisors and other LVL80 personnel
• Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with relevant safety requirements, procedures and manufacturer specifications

About you

• Current NSW Electrical Licence
• Current High Risk Work Rigging Licence
• Construction Industry White Card
• Working at Heights competency
• Experience working with construction hoists, cranes or similar lifting equipment highly regarded
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• A sound understanding of safe rigging practices
• Ability to work effectively within a site-based team
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Current driver's licence
