Job summary

RSL LifeCare is seeking a Lifestyle Coordinator (Recreation & Engagement Coordinator) in Tura Beach. The role is a fixed-term, full-time position with a Monday to Friday schedule in a not-for-profit aged care setting.

You will lead holistic Recreation and Engagement programs, coordinate special events, and complete resident assessments to inform integrated care plans. The role emphasizes meaningful, person-centred activities and partnerships across care teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Certificate IV Leisure and Health or Certificate III/IV in Individual Support.
• Demonstrated experience in planning and facilitating meaningful leisure, recreation and lifestyle programs.
• Knowledge of best practice approaches within Recreational/Diversional therapy and aged care.
• Ability to undertake leisure-based assessments and care planning.
• Practical understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and accreditation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and oversight of holistic Recreation and Engagement programs that meet residents' needs and preferences.
• Coordinate all aspects of special events, including entertainment, catering and logistics.
• Complete comprehensive assessments, including life history, to inform each resident’s care plan.

• Foster strong, collaborative relationships with team members to support person-centred care.

About You

We are excited to hear from you about this role! We are looking out for:

• Minimum of a Certificate IV Leisure and Health or Certificate III/IV in Individual
• Support with demonstrated experience in the leisure and health field
• Demonstrated experience in planning and facilitating meaningful leisure, recreation and lifestyle programs for individuals and groups
• Knowledge of best practice approaches within Recreational/Diversional therapy and aged care.
• Ability to undertake leisure-based assessments and care planning
• Practical understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and accreditation requirements
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Strong digital skills with the ability to use technology to document programs accurately and to support program development
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with residents, families and the care team
• Understanding of ageing and dementia care, with a genuine commitment to resident wellbeing
