Job summary

Anglicare Sydney invites applications for a Lifestyle Carer to design and deliver engaging activities that enhance residents’ wellbeing and sense of purpose. This permanent, part-time role covers weekend shifts (Sat 10:00–18:00, Sun 09:00–17:00) on site at Anglicare Sydney in Australia.

You will facilitate activities, promote independence, and collaborate with residents, families and care teams to deliver holistic care plans while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Leisure and Health.
• Bachelor or Diploma in Health Science or Community Services.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
• Experience in aged care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate group and individual activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities.
• Support residents to maintain independence and dignity through meaningful engagement.
• Learn residents’ life stories, interests and goals to inform personalised activities.
• Work with residents, families and care teams to support holistic care plans.
• Communicate activity calendars and evaluate programs to improve resident outcomes.
• Follow safety, quality and aged care requirements.

Your opportunity

As a valued Lifestyle Carer at Anglicare Sydney, you will design and deliver engaging lifestyle programs that promote social interaction, emotional wellbeing, and a sense of purpose to our residents.

This role is a permanent part time role: Saturday 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Sunday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

What’s required to work as a Lifestyle Carer:

• Certificate IV in Leisure and Health
• Bachelors or Diploma in Health Science or Community Services
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificate

What’s preferred but not essential:

• Experience in aged care or a similar care setting.
• Knowledge of aged care quality and accreditation requirements.
• Experience planning or facilitating lifestyle activities.
