Job summary

Lutheran Homes Group in Adelaide is seeking two Lifestyle Assistants to join our Fullarton Residential Care Facility. You’ll support residents with engaging lifestyle programs, working with Lifestyle Coordinators to plan person-centred activities, including those living with dementia.

You’ll have a Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or related qualification, experience in aged care, and strong communication.

  • Experience in aged care, memory support, or dementia care preferred.
  • Strong communication and person-centred approach.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and run group and individual lifestyle activities.
  • Support residents during sessions, including those with dementia.
  • Provide 1:1 social and emotional support.
  • Set up and tidy activity spaces and equipment.
  • Assist with resident mobility and personal care during activities.
  • Complete basic clerical tasks and record-keeping.
  • Foster a welcoming, inclusive environment for residents.

About the Role


We are currently seeking two Lifestyle Assistants to join our team at our Fullarton Residential Care Facility. In this role, you’ll play an important part in supporting the health and wellbeing of our residents by helping to deliver engaging and meaningful lifestyle programs. Working closely with the Lifestyle Coordinators, you’ll assist in developing and running person-centred activities that encourage wellness, independence, and social connection. You’ll help plan and facilitate individual and group programs based on residents’ interests and abilities, including for those living with dementia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with planning and running group and individual lifestyle activities
  • Support residents during sessions, including those living with dementia
  • Provide 1:1 social and emotional support
  • Set up and tidy activity spaces and equipment
  • Help with resident mobility and personal care during activities
  • Complete basic clerical tasks and record-keeping
  • Foster a welcoming, inclusive environment for residents
What You Will Need
  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or related qualification or a Certificate IV in Leisure and Health
  • Previous experience in a similar role, including working in aged care and memory support units with residents living with dementia
  • Skilled in planning and facilitating recreational and leisure activities that enhance wellbeing
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, and team members
  • A person-centred approach with a commitment to dignity, privacy, and respectful care
  • Organised, motivated, and reliable, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team


Candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical assessment and must hold a current NDIS Worker Clearance. In line with current health guidelines for the aged care sector, candidates are strongly encouraged to be up to date with all recommended vaccinations.
