Job summary

Infinite Care is seeking a Lifestyle Assistant at our Caravonica care home to support residents with personal care and to encourage participation in meaningful lifestyle programs, social activities and one-on-one engagement. You will work closely with nursing and resident engagement teams to deliver compassionate, resident-centred care.

Ideally you hold a Certificate III in Individual Support or similar, have aged care experience, current First Aid/CPR, and a valid NDIS Worker Screening

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous experience in Aged Care for 12 months preferred.
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificate preferred.
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain.
• Understanding of person-centred care and resident wellbeing.
• Positive, energetic and compassionate approach.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe environment for residents and colleagues.

This role based at our Caravonica care home will see you working closely with the nursing and resident engagement teams when performing your resident-centric care duties in a timely and compassionate manner surrounded by highly skilled and supportive senior carers and managers. The attached position description outlines duties and accountabilities for this role - Lifestyle is what is this role is commonly called in the Aged Care sector.

About You

At Infinite Care we hire for heart, so our best people are highly empathic, instil a strong work ethic and passionate about making a difference to the elderly. Ideally, you have worked in the Aged Care sector for at least 1 year and the ability to “think on your feet”, communicate effectively, build rapport, and maintain professional relationships with residents and co-workers alike. In addition, you will also provide:

• Certificate III in Individual Support, Leisure & Lifestyle, Health Services or a similar qualification (preferred, however not mandatory)
• Previous experience in Aged Care, Lifestyle or similar role (minimum 12 months preferred)
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificate (preferred)
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
• Understanding of person-centred care and resident wellbeing
• A positive, energetic, and compassionate approach
• Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills
• Commitment to maintaining a safe environment for residents and colleagues
• A genuine passion for making a difference in aged care
• Display a positive, fun and confident personality to help our residents (*who sometime can be very shy) to get involved in lifestyle and group activities.

Our care roles are busy! Alot of bending, lifting, pushing and squatting to perform your duties safely. All candidates will be required to complete an online medical assessment to maintain personal and workplace safety standards.
