Job summary

Belgravia Leisure’s VIC Portland Leisure and Aquatic Centre is seeking experienced lifeguards for casual shifts. You will oversee day-to-day pool operations, ensure safety, and deliver friendly customer service to members and visitors.

Ideal candidates have current First Aid (Level 2), CPR, a Pool Lifeguard Certificate, a Working with Children Check and National Police Check, with availability mornings, evenings and weekends to suit the centre's busy timetable.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Solid understanding of OHS and public safety protocols.
• Ability to work mornings, evenings and weekends.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Current First Aid (Level 2) and CPR certification.
• National Police Check completed.
• Working with Children Check completed.
• Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate.
• Pool Operations Certificate is a plus but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day pool operations to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all patrons.
• Deliver friendly, professional customer service to members and visitors.
• Enforce pool rules and respond to any incidents or safety concerns promptly.

The Role

We are currently looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, reliable and friendly Lifeguards to join the team on a casual basis. Our lifeguards will be responsible for the Day to Day Pool Operations within our facility and ensure that all areas both in and surrounding our pools is a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons.

You will have a passion for safety around the water. You should be energetic, dynamic, outgoing and fun. You will need outstanding communication skills and a commitment to customer service excellence to ensure our patrons safely enjoy their visit every time and with a flair for working with children.

Successful applicants will demonstrate the ability to communicate and interact effectively with students that have a diverse range of ages, abilities, cultures and needs.
