Job summary

The Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley is seeking fit and motivated Lifeguards to join our Leisure Centre team in Kununurra. The role ensures a safe aquatic environment and delivers high quality customer service to Centre users.

Essential requirements include First Aid, resuscitation qualifications, WA Working with Children Check, and Royal Life Saving WA Lifeguard credentials. Salary reflects SWEK conditions with benefits and pro-rata entitlements where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Supervising all waterbodies and applying lifeguard, first aid and emergency assistance where necessary.
• Monitoring the behaviour of patrons and following procedures for addressing inappropriate behaviour.
• Providing a high level of customer service to all patrons at the Centre.
• Providing information to customers on Centre programs and services.
• Maintaining presentation and cleanliness of the Centre to a high standard; assist with cleaning of pools, grounds, change rooms and other areas.
• Carrying out administration tasks as required.

The Opportunity

We arelooking for fit and motivated Lifeguards to join our Leisure CentreTeam. The position is accountable for providing a lifeguard servicefor the Shire ensuring that a safe and healthy aquatic environmentis maintained for customers. This role is responsiblefor:

• Supervising all waterbodies and applying lifeguard, first aid and emergencyassistance where necessary;
• Monitoring the behaviouroft patrons and following adopted procedures for addressing any inappropriate behaviour;
• Providing a high levelof customer service to all patrons at the Centre;
• Providing appropriateinformation to customers on Centre programs andservices;
• Maintaining thepresentation and cleanliness of the Centre to the highestpossible standard by assisting with cleaning of the pools,grounds, change rooms and other areas as required;
• Carryingout administration tasks as required.

A current Provide First Aid Certificate, resuscitation qualification, WAWorking with Children Check and Royal Life Saving WA Pool Lifeguardqualifications are essential for this role.
