Job summary

The Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley is seeking a motivated Recreation Attendant to join the Kununurra Leisure Centre team. You will supervise patrons across the aquatic, splash park and gym facilities to ensure a safe, welcoming environment and deliver information on rules, programs and services.

Essential requirements include a current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011), CPR (HLTAID009) and WA Working with Children Check.

Qualifications

• Provide First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011) is required.
• CPR Certificate (HLTAID009) is required.
• WA Working with Children Check is required.
• Experience in aquatic facility operations is highly regarded.
• Youth supervision experience is desirable.
• Bronze Medallion Certificate is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patron safety and behaviour across pools, splash park and gym.
• Provide first aid and emergency assistance when required.
• Deliver high-quality customer service and inform patrons about facility rules and programs.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and presentation of facilities and supporting events and community activities.

TheOpportunity

We are looking for a motivated andcustomer-focused Recreation Attendant to join our team at theKununurra Leisure Centre (KLC).

This role is responsible for supervisingpatrons across the aquatic, splash park and gym facilities toensure a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment for allusers.

Your responsibilities willinclude:

• Monitoring patron safety andbehaviour,
• Providing first aid and emergencyassistance when required,
• Delivering high-quality customer service,and providing information on facility rules, programs andservices.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness,presentation and overall appearance of the leisure facilities,including pools, change rooms, grounds and surrounding areas,as well as supporting community events, children's programs andadministrative tasks as required.

The successful applicant will demonstratestrong communication and supervision skills, the ability to workeffectively within a team, a commitment to workplace health andsafety, and a customer-focused approach to service delivery.Essential requirements include a current Provide First AidCertificate (HLTAID011), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate(HLTAID009) and a current WA Working with Children Check.Experience in aquatic facility operations, youth supervision and acurrent Bronze Medallion Certificate will be highlyregarded.
