Job summary

The Law Society of New South Wales is seeking a full-time Licensing Solicitor to join the Licensing team in Sydney. You will support statutory licensing duties under the Legal Profession Uniform Law (NSW) and contribute to the Professional Standards Scheme responsibilities.

Your role includes issuing and varying practising certificates, giving legal and regulatory guidance, and helping maintain high standards of compliance across NSW.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years post-qualification legal experience.
• Australian practising certificate required (NSW).
• Demonstrates strong knowledge of legislative procedures and regulatory law.

Responsibilities

• Assist Deputy Director and Director in licensing and registry duties, issuing and varying practising certificates.
• Provide legal and regulatory advice on licensing applications and policy matters.
• Ensure compliance with practising certificate conditions and regulatory requirements.
• Support Licensing Committee matters with research and drafting.
