Job summary

John Holland is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join the Operations & Maintenance team, covering the Sydney Metro region (Daceyville). You will deliver planned and reactive maintenance across water and wastewater assets, ensuring safety-first operations and compliance with industry standards.

The role includes a 7:00am start with a day shift roster and the chance to contribute to essential infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Electrical licence required.
• Australian recognised electrical trade qualification.
• Current Australian Driver Licence.
• Strong commitment to safety.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work.
• Practical knowledge of SCADA systems.
• Experience with pumps, electric motors and associated equipment.

Responsibilities

• Safely undertake all work in line with D4C and Sydney Water safety, environmental and compliance requirements.
• Perform preventative and planned maintenance on plant and equipment.
• Respond to equipment faults and breakdowns.
• Conduct inspections and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Carry out fault finding, diagnostics and rectification works.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and service records.
• Install, test and commission new equipment.
• Support general day-to-day maintenance across the network.

What we are looking for

We are currently seeking an experiencedIndustrial Electrician to join our Operations & Maintenance team based in Daceyville covering the Sydney Metro region.

As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for delivering planned and reactive maintenance across a diverse portfolio of water and wastewater assets.

Working within a safety-first environment, you will help ensure critical infrastructure is maintained to the highest operational standards.

What you'll be doing

As part of the Operations Maintenance team, your responsibilities will include:

• Safely undertaking all work in accordance with D4C and Sydney Water safety, environmental and compliance requirements.
• Performing preventative and planned maintenance activities on plant and equipment.
• Responding to equipment faults and breakdowns.
• Conducting inspections and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Carrying out fault finding, diagnostics and rectification works.
• Maintaining accurate maintenance and service records.
• Installing, testing and commissioning new equipment.
• Supporting general day-to-day maintenance activities across the network.

Asset types you'll work on

• Cathodic protection systems
• Wastewater and water pumping stations
• Low pressure and vacuum systems
• Mixers, blowers, gearboxes, skimmers, actuators and valves
• Generators and outage support equipment

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Current Electrical Licence
• Australian recognised electrical trade qualification
• Current Australian Driver Licence
• Strong commitment to safety
• Ability to perform physically demanding work
• Practical and theoretical knowledge of SCADA systems
• Experience with pumps, electric motors and associated equipment
• Strong understanding of maintenance procedures and compliance requirements
• Instrumentation qualifications or experience will be highly regarded
• Experience within water, utilities, industrial or maintenance environments
