Job summary

Electech Electrical is seeking an experienced electrician to join our Sydney team on a full-time basis. You’ll work across commercial electrical, switchboard and mains upgrades, EV charging infrastructure, battery storage, fault finding and project work.

The role offers progression toward Leading Hand / Supervisor as workload grows, with a company vehicle and career progression opportunities. You’ll contribute to diverse projects and liaise with clients and project managers on site.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current NSW Electrical Licence.
• Must hold a current NSW driver's licence.
• Strong electrical installation and fault-finding skills.
• Solid understanding of electrical safety, compliance and Australian Standards.
• Ability to work independently and make on-site decisions.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• Experience supervising apprentices and trades assistants.
• Able to take ownership of jobs from start to completion.
• Experience in commercial electrical, switchboards, EV charging, solar or battery systems is valued.

The Role

You’ll work across a broad range of electrical projects throughout Sydney, including:

• Commercial electrical installations, upgrades and maintenance

• EV charger installation, testing and commissioning

• Commercial and multi-charger EV infrastructure projects

• Dynamic load management and EV energy management systems

• Switchboard upgrades, modifications and replacements

• Consumer mains and submain installations

• Strata and commercial electrical works

• Battery energy storage system installations

• Electrical testing, fault finding and commissioning

• Supervising apprentices and trades assistants where required

• Coordinating jobs and helping ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard

• Liaising directly with clients, building managers, project managers, suppliers and other contractors

Depending on your experience, you’ll also have the opportunity to become involved in the planning, delivery and commissioning of larger EV charging and energy infrastructure projects.

About You

We’re looking for an electrician who is reliable, capable and takes genuine pride in producing quality work.

You will ideally:

• Hold a current NSW Electrical Licence

• Hold a current NSW driver’s licence

• Have strong electrical installation and fault-finding skills

• Have a solid understanding of electrical safety, compliance and relevant Australian Standards

• Be confident working independently and making decisions on site

• Work well as part of a team

• Be organised and able to manage your work effectively

• Communicate professionally with clients, builders, building managers and other trades

• Be capable of supervising apprentices and trades assistants

• Be comfortable taking ownership of jobs and seeing them through to completion

Experience in commercial electrical, switchboards, EV charging, solar or battery systems will be highly regarded.
