people2people are partnering with a well-established global logistics and freight forwarding organisation in Melbourne to recruit a Licensed Customs Broker. You will manage end-to-end customs clearance, tariff classification and compliance, liaising with freight forwarders and regulators, ensuring accurate declarations and records.

Qualifications

• Current Australian Customs Broker Licence.
• Experience in customs brokerage or freight forwarding.
• Strong knowledge of tariffs and compliance.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and lodge import and export declarations.
• Tariff classification and customs compliance.
• Manage holds, inspections and quarantine requirements.
• Review shipping documentation.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, transport providers and authorities.
• Provide guidance on customs requirements.
• Maintain records and ensure standards are met.
• Support continuous improvement in the customs function.
