Job summary

NQES Industries Pty Ltd in Mount Isa is seeking licenced Traffic Controllers for a casual role supporting our traffic management operations across remote Queensland sites.

You will direct and manage traffic and pedestrians, prioritise safety, and uphold regulatory compliance while delivering professional service to the public and stakeholders. Flexibility and a proactive mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid TC licence; additional qualifications preferred.
• Current Australian driver’s license is required.
• Traffic control experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage traffic and pedestrian flow through construction zones using signage and devices.
• Ensure the safety of workers, vehicles and pedestrians on site.
• Identify and mitigate hazards to maintain a secure work environment.
• Report incidents and safety concerns to site supervisors promptly.
• Provide professional customer service to the public and stakeholders.
• Comply with health, safety and environmental regulations.

As a Licenced Traffic Controller with NQES Industries, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety of workers, vehicles, and pedestrians while managing the flow of traffic at construction sites across remote Queensland. We are committed to providing you with the tools, training, and support you will need to succeed in this vital role. This is a casual role, providing you with the flexibility to fit work around your lifestyle.

• Direct and manage traffic and pedestrian flow through construction zones using appropriate signage, signals, and traffic control devices
• Ensure the safety of all workers, vehicles and pedestrians within work sites
• Identify and mitigate hazards to maintain a secure work environment
• Report incidents and safety concerns to site supervisors promptly
• Provide professional customer service to the public and stakeholders
• Comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.

About the Candidate

• Valid Traffic Control Licences (or equivalent qualification) is preferred
• Must hold a valid TC (Traffic Control) licence
• Previous traffic control experience is desired but not mandatory

• A keen eye for detail and proactive problem-solving skills
