Job summary

Yarra Plenty Regional Library Service – Eltham VIC is seeking an Officer to deliver high-quality library services in a friendly, community-focused branch. You will assist customers, support promotions, and help run programs in a welcoming environment.

The role involves circulation, collection maintenance and occasional Storytime delivery, with an emphasis on teamwork and community engagement. Evening and weekend shifts may apply.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of library services, collections and resources.
• Enthusiasm for reading and Readers' Advisory.
• Ability to build relationships with diverse people.
• Willingness to learn and assist with Storytime delivery.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service and assist with library products and services.
• Provide Readers' Advisory and promote a love of reading.
• Assist with programs, promotions, displays and events.
• Undertake core library operations including circulation and collection maintenance.
• Support daily branch operations and a positive team culture.
• Deliver Storytimes as part of branch programming.
