Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. Australia, operating through Pen Underwriting, seeks an experienced Underwriter in Sydney to assess and underwrite new business and renewals across Liability lines.

You will apply sound risk judgement and pricing decisions while building strong broker relationships. With a minimum of two years’ underwriting experience and knowledge of Australian regulations, you will contribute to process improvements and collaborate across product lines to drive growth within a global

Qualificações

• Minimum 2 years’ underwriting experience, ideally within Liability or SME insurance products.
• Strong risk assessment, analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, agents and clients.
• Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Good understanding of Australian insurance regulations and compliance requirements, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsabilidades

• Assessing and underwriting new business and renewal submissions across Liability lines, in accordance with Pen Underwriting guidelines.
• Evaluating risks by reviewing broker submissions, insureds' operations, risk controls, financial position, and relevant policies, procedures and certifications.
• Applying underwriting expertise to risk assessment, claims history analysis, pricing and coverage decisions across new and existing Liability accounts.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with brokers to drive new business opportunities and maximise renewal retention.
• Support efficiencies and process improvements in the team
• Collaborating with underwriters across other product lines to strengthen broker relationships and identify growth opportunities.
