Job summary

Tyro Payments seeks a dynamic Lending Sales Associate specializing in business loans to support lending growth and meet the diverse needs of business clients. You will engage customers via outbound calls and guide discussions on banking, accounts and lending processes.

The role requires experience in banking or financial services, plus a proactive, analytical mindset and strong communication skills. A mix of in-office and remote work is offered, with development opportunities and generous

• Experience in banking or financial services, with exposure to lending and credit products.
• Previous experience in a phone-based sales or telesales environment will be highly regarded.
• Enthusiasm for customer service, with keen attention to detail and follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Engage our customers via proactive outbound calling to assist with banking enquiries and lending eligibility.
• Raise awareness of Tyro's banking solutions in every interaction.
• Assist with Banking enquiries and advise on process with clients interested in banking, accounts, and lending.
• Cross-sell and refer EFTPOS opportunities to the sales & account management team.
• Build strong relationships with business clients, creating advocates and helping repeat borrowers.
• Work closely with risk and product to ensure we meet our customers needs.
• Collect financials for manual assessment.
• Assist in the vetting of applicants, conducting preliminary reviews of financial documents and credit history.
• Perform basic credit analyses to evaluate credit worthiness before risk submission.
• Monitor the quality of funded loans, including the rate of defaults to maintain a healthy loan portfolio.
• Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions and competitor offers.
• Provide customer and business insights back to internal stakeholders.
• Ad hoc duties to assist with customer enquiries, initiatives, campaigns and work as prescribed by your manager

About The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and driven individual to join our team as a Lending Sales Associate specialising in business loans. As part of the lending team you will play a crucial part in supporting our lending growth performance, focusing on the diverse needs of our business clients.

What You'll Do

• Engage our customers via various proactive outbound calling to assist with banking enquiries and lending eligibility


• Raising awareness of Tyro's banking solutions in every interaction


• Assist with Banking enquiries and advise on process with clients interested in banking, accounts, and lending.


• Cross-sell and refer EFTPOS opportunities to the sales & account management team.

• Working closely with risk and product to ensure we meet our customers needs

What You'll Bring

• Experience in banking or financial services, with exposure to lending and credit products


• Previous experience in a phone-based sales or telesales environment will be highly regarded


• Enthusiasm for customer service, with keen attention to detail and follow-up


• Excellent time management and strong communication/interpersonal skills


• Confidence building relationships with customers and internal teams; proactive mindset and strong initiative


• Analytical and problem-solving capability; interest in understanding credit and lending fundamentals


• Bachelor's degree in finance/business (desirable, not essential); understanding of financial statements and credit analysis (desirable, not essential)
