Job summary

Torbay Lifestyles and Care in Hervey Bay, Queensland, is seeking a Leisure and Lifestyle Assistant to promote resident participation in meaningful activities and support well-being. You will work with residents and staff to plan, implement and review lifestyle programs tailored to interests and abilities, while maintaining safe, person-centred care.

A Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) and a current Police Certificate are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Police Certificate.
• Understanding of Australian Quality Standards in Aged Care.
• Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or higher qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lifestyle Coordinator in planning, organising, and implementing lifestyle programs that enhance residents' quality of life and well-being.
• Collaborate with residents and stakeholders to deliver a diverse range of lifestyle programs.
• Create and review Lifestyle Assessments to ensure needs-based programming and monitor attendance.

Requirements

• Valid and current Police Certificate.
• An understanding of the Australian Quality Standards in Aged Care.
• An understanding of infection control, and the ability to comply with the requirements of WHS and safe work practises and related procedures.
• Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or similar Certificate III or higher qualification.
