Job summary

Batlow-based Leisure and Lifestyle Allied Health Assistant at MLHD supports residents' lifespans, interests and preferences by delivering group and individual activities with a multidisciplinary team.

You will create care plans, assist with exercise classes and outings, and help maintain a safe environment while benefiting from MLHD's flexible arrangements, professional development and salary packaging options.

Qualifications

• Hold a Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle / Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (or formal commitment to complete this training within 3 years of employment) or other relevant qualification
• Demonstrate expert level written and verbal communication skills
• Have the ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team
• Show outstanding problem-solving skills with demonstrate ability to take initiative

Responsibilities

• Facilitate a range of group and individual leisure and lifestyle programs
• Correspondence and document management - including the organisation of various deadlines and communications within a multidisciplinary team
• Perform and assist with activities under the supervision and direction of treating Allied Health Professionals such as exercise classes and community outings
• Facilitate and participate in diversional therapy activities
• Maintaining a safe and supportive environment for patients and the multidisciplinary team
• Create individual lifestyle care plans and programs for residents
