MLHD in Hillston is seeking an Allied Health Assistant – Leisure and Lifestyle to implement meaningful activities for residents, supporting their interests and preferences alongside a collaborative health team.

The role requires a Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle or Allied Health Assistance (or commitment to complete within 3 years), strong communication, and teamwork capabilities in a regional health setting.

Qualifications

• Hold a Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle / Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (or commit to complete this training within 3 years of employment)
• Demonstrate expert level written and verbal communication skills
• Have the ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team
• Show outstanding problem-solving skills with demonstrate ability to take initiative

Responsabilités

• Facilitate a range of group and individual leisure and lifestyle programs
• Correspondence and document management - including the organisation of various deadlines and communications within a multidisciplinary team
• Perform and assist with activities under the supervision and direction of treating Allied Health Professionals such as exercise classes and community outings
• Facilitate and participate in diversional therapy activities
• Maintaining a safe and supportive environment for patients and the multidisciplinary team
• Create individual lifestyle care plans and programs for residents

Step into this rewarding role of Leisure and Lifestyle Allied Health Assistant based in Hillston just 60 minutes away from Griffith. You’ll play a role in implementing meaningful activities for our residents that relate to their lifespan, interests and preferences while working alongside a fabulous team of health professionals.

Your responsibilities involve:

• Facilitate a range of group and individual leisure and lifestyle programs
• Correspondence and document management - including the organisation of various deadlines and communications within a multidisciplinary team.
• Perform and assist with activities under the supervision and direction of treating Allied Health Professionalssuch as exercise classes and community outings
