About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader for our Manager Legal Operations role in the Legal Services Division. In this role, you will be responsible for the Commission’s legal cost recovery function and for planning and driving operational and strategic change in the Legal Services Division. The role has managerial responsibility for the Commission’s paralegals and clerical support staff and is part of the Legal Services Division’s Leadership Team.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong organisational, communication and management skills.
• Ability to recommend and implement processes and strategic initiatives to help support the delivery of high-quality legal services.
• Previous experience in legal costs recovery or practice in a costs jurisdiction is preferrable.

Essential Requirements

To be eligible to apply for this position, applicants must have existing Australian work rights.

Applicants must also hold a current NSW Practicing Certificate.

Given the HCCC’s unique and critical role in maintaining the integrity of the NSW health system, it is essential that all prospective employees are able to carry out their duties in an independent, honest and consistent manner with uncompromising adherence to strong moral and ethical principles and values.

The successful applicant will be required to complete a Background Verification Check which includes a National Police Check (Criminal History) and qualification check.
