Perpetual Wealth seeks a Legal Counsel to deliver high-quality legal services across the PW business, including trustee services and fiduciary matters. The 12-month maximum term covers parental leave, with responsibilities spanning advice, external counsel management, and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements include a law degree and current practicing certificate, 2–3 years PQE (preferably with wills and estates exposure), and a practical, commercially-minded approach.

This creates a unique opportunity to join a business focused on growth, innovation, and delivering exceptional outcomes for clients.About the RoleAs Legal Counsel for Perpetual Wealth (PW), you will provide high-quality legal services, support and solutions to the PW business, including traditional trustee services, Native Title and the fiduciary division. This role is offered as a 12-month maximum term contract covering a period of parental leave.Your responsibilities will include:Providing sound legal advice to business units, which is supported by the legal team, within agreed commercially oriented timeframes.Instructing and managing external legal advisors, particularly for managing outsourced litigation.Following through on queries and issues to ensure efficient resolution.Working with internal stakeholders to review, negotiate and manage legal issues.Maintaining up to date and relevant knowledge of legal developments which may affect the PW businesses.About youWe’re looking for someone with:A bachelor’s degree in law and a current practicing certificate, or admission to practice as a solicitor in an Australian jurisdiction.At least 2-3 years of post-qualification experience, ideally gained in an environment where there has been exposure to wills and estates.
