Job summary

The University of Canberra is recruiting two part-time Lecturers in Pharmacy to support and extend our pharmacy programs across face-to-face, online and blended learning environments.

One role is continuing and the other a 12-month fixed term contract. You will deliver lectures, coordinate units, design assessments and build relationships with healthcare organisations while developing your scholarly profile through teaching, innovation and supervision of honours, masters and PhD students.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification in pharmacy or related discipline is preferred.
• Current registration as a pharmacist with AHPRA.
• Applicants should have valid working rights at time of submission.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, workshops and practical classes across various learning modes.
• Coordinate units and contribute to curriculum development, assessment design and student learning experiences.
• Design and evaluate innovative, authentic assessments that support student success.
• Develop and maintain productive relationships with healthcare organisations, professional bodies, industry and community stakeholders.
• Contribute to research supervision where appropriate, including honours, masters and PhD students.

The University of Canberra is seeking 2x part-time (0.6FTE, 22.5 hrs per week), Lecturers in Pharmacy to join our Pharmacy discipline, one for a continuing role and the other for a 12-month fixed term contract. As a Lecturer in Pharmacy, you will play a key role in delivering and enhancing the University's pharmacy programs across face-to-face, online and blended learning environments. You will also have the opportunity to develop your scholarly profile through learning and teaching scholarship, educational innovation, and research supervision activities.

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Contemporary experience in pharmacy practice and a strong understanding of current developments within the profession.
• Experience in tertiary teaching, assessment and/or curriculum development in pharmacy or a related health discipline.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to be teaching and mentoring your industry peers.
• Completion of, or substantial progress towards, a PhD in pharmacy or a related field (Desirable).
