Job summary

University of Canberra is seeking a passionate Lecturer in Nursing to lead and coordinate nursing units, deliver high-quality teaching, and drive curriculum innovation. You will work with the Discipline Lead and colleagues to enhance learning resources, assessment design and student support in a dynamic academic environment.

The role requires AHPRA and NMBA RN registration, a Master’s in Nursing or related field, and experience teaching in higher education.

Qualifications

AHPRA registration is mandatory.
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with NMBA is required.
Master’s qualification in Nursing or related field is required or equivalent experience.
Experience teaching and assessing nursing students in higher education is essential.
Experience coordinating units and collaborating with teaching teams and stakeholders is important.
PhD in Nursing/Health or related discipline is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Convene and deliver nursing units across a range of teaching modes.
Coordinate and support teaching teams.
Design, review and enhance curriculum, assessments and learning resources.
Ensure a positive and engaging student experience.
Provide high-quality teaching, assessments and timely feedback to students.
Support student progression with academic guidance.
Build strong relationships with industry partners and clinical education networks.
