The Department of Environmental Science operates within the UWA School of Agriculture and Environment, with strong collaborations with researchers and teaching programs within the School of Biological Sciences and School of Earth and Oceans. The Department hosts the Centre for Water and Spatial Science (CWSS), the Resilient Landscapes Hub of the National Environmental Science Program (NESP), and facilities of Australia’s Terrestrial Ecosystem Research Network (TERN). The Department seeks to provide independent and evidence-based research to support our understanding of the environment, including best management practices. In doing so, the Department has earnt top national and international rankings and is responsible for the delivery of several undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The Department also works closely with our industry and government partners to provide students practical experience in applying their knowledge and skills to real-world environmental challenges.
As part of the recruitment process, candidates will be required to complete declarations in accordance with the National Higher Education Code to Prevent and Respond to Gender-based Violence. A “C” class driver’s licence will be required by the successful applicant.
