Job summary

Mission Australia in Sydney is seeking a Paralegal, Leasing and Conveyancing to support the legal and property transactions across our housing and community services portfolio. You will manage end-to-end leasing matters, prepare and review leases, licences, contracts and related documents, and liaise with landlords, tenants and external counsel.

Applicants should have 5+ years in a similar role, a paralegal or tertiary qualification, and strong organisation/comms skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in a similar role and relevant paralegal/tertiary qualifications.
• Accredited Advanced Diploma of Conveyancing is advantageous but not a pre-requisite.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise deadlines and maintain accuracy.
• Strong stakeholder engagement with landlords, tenants, solicitors and internal teams.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office and document management systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end leasing and conveyancing matters across Mission Australia’s property portfolio.
• Prepare, review, negotiate and finalize leases, licences, contracts, settlements and related property documents.
• Liaise with landlords, tenants, solicitors, government agencies and internal stakeholders to progress matters.
• Maintain accurate property and legal records and ensure documentation is compliant and accessible.
• Support property acquisitions, disposals, renewals and variations with paralegal expertise.
• Monitor critical dates, obligations and milestones to mitigate risk and ensure compliance.
