Job summary

Trafalgar High School is seeking a Learning Specialist Range 3 to lead teaching excellence across Years 7–12. The role focuses on modelling high-quality pedagogy, mentoring teachers, and driving school-wide improvements in curriculum delivery and assessment.

The successful candidate will work within the Department of Education Victoria framework, supporting literacy and numeracy development, student wellbeing, and engagement through evidence-based professional learning and collaborative

Qualifications

Demonstrated expert knowledge of the relevant curriculum.
Demonstrated expertise in the implementation and modelling of high impact teaching strategies that respond to student learning needs.
Demonstrated exemplary ability to model the monitoring and assessment of student learning.

Responsibilities

Demonstrating high-level expertise in teaching and learning practice.
Modelling exemplary classroom practice including through teaching demonstration lessons.
Working with the school leadership team to develop a shared view of highly effective teacher practice.
Leading and modelling the implementation of whole‑school improvement strategies related to curriculum planning and delivery.
Providing evidence‑based feedback to teaching staff to inform their effectiveness and development.
