Reporting Manager Head of Learning Enrichment Senior School

Role Purpose All teachers have the responsibility to support Danebank’s aspiration and intent, upholding its core values and Christian foundation.The Learning Enrichment Teacher, as part of a wider Learning EnrichmentTeam, will work with Senior School Students in, identifying students’learning needs and administering and coordinating support programs forstudents.The Learning Enrichment teacher delivers an inspiring and differentiatedlearning program through high quality teaching in order to develop deepunderstanding and develop students as reflective and powerful learners.The teacher ensures professional compliance, supports policy and followsschool procedures and systems.Every teacher is expected to be involved in the learning, student care,outdoor education and co-curricular programs as these are pivotal to theholistic development of each student.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Actively support the Christian ethos of the school, modelling a Christianexample in all activities.Create inclusive, safe and supportive learning environments that modelTeaching and Learning
• Maintain a sound understanding of the content and structure ofthe NESA curriculum and contemporary learning.
• Support students to learn how to learn, developing individuals asself directed, powerful learners.
• Plan and teach well-sequenced teaching and learning programsthat engage students and promote learning.
• Provide rigorous academic learning, supporting students to achievetheir personal best and pursue learning growth throughpersonalisation of learning.
• Implement best practice teaching and learning strategiesappropriate to the learning of the girls.
• Monitor and assess student learning and growth and analyse datato inform and improve teaching practice.
• Maintain all administrative records to a high standard includingprogrammes and registers, attendance, wellbeing, NCCD,assessment and reports.
• Review and action incoming student referrals.
• Create and update student Individual Adjustment Plans.
• Lead small group instruction and work collaboratively with teachers in the classroom.
• Support classroom teachers in the implementation of personalised learning plans.
• Assist with the NCCD process in conjunction with the Head of.
• Assist with exam provisions for students with identified needs.
• Attend parent/teacher interviews, stage, faculty, and school meetings as required.
• Lead small group instruction.
• Adapt lessons for individual students under the guidance of their subject teachers.

Professional Development

• Share knowledge and resources, develop skills and ensure bestpractice principles are applied across the Junior School andDanebank’s professional learning community.
• Actively seek appropriate and timely professional development.
• Engage in the regular performance appraisal process and professional development practices of the school.
• Participate in accreditation processes.
• Adhere to a holistic approach to student learning, engaging withthe school’s Becoming Framework for student development.
• Work in collaboration with Stage Coordinators and departmentalcolleagues to address student management and behavioural issues.
• Work collaboratively to deliver the Student Wellbeing programs,refer students to specialist staff where required and liaise withmiddle leaders as appropriate.
• Establish rapport with students and provide ongoingencouragement to support students’ emotional and social.
• Maintain professional confidentiality on information aboutstudents.
• Provide the appropriate duty of care and supervision of students.

Communication and Engagement

• Establish and maintain effective and respectful relationships withstudents, staff and parents.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents/carers.
• Plan and participate in excursions.
• Respond to parent enquiries regarding curriculum and student matters in a timely manner to ensure positive outcomes for.
• Prepare meaningful feedback and reports regularly to students andparents.
• Be available to assist students out of class where needed, vianegotiation between teacher and students.
• Attend chapel services
• Attend other School events (e.g. theatre productions) and maintain an active connection with the broader community.

Essential Qualifications

• Qualification in education
• Accredited with NESA
• Working with Children check required
• Relevant tertiary degree and teaching qualifications specialising in Special Education would be highly regarded.
