Job summary

Maranatha Christian School is seeking committed Learning Assistants to support student engagement and wellbeing in a Christ-centred environment. You will work alongside teachers to deliver learning programs and assist individual students and small groups across campuses.

Ideal candidates may have Education Support qualifications or experience with diverse learners, and should share the school's faith-based values. Applications welcome from those with transferable skills and a heart for children.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to supporting student learning and wellbeing.
• A current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one).
• Demonstrated commitment to the Christian faith and active involvement in a local church community.

Responsibilities

• Supporting teachers in delivering engaging and effective learning programs.
• Assisting individual students and small groups within classroom settings.
• Providing additional support for students with diverse educational and learning needs.
• Helping implement teacher-directed learning strategies and individual learning plans.
• Encouraging student confidence, independence and participation.
• Building positive and respectful relationships with students, staff and families.
• Assisting with supervision duties and school activities as required.
