Job summary

Pedders Suspension & Brakes is seeking a Learning and Development Business Partner to join the People & Culture team in Melbourne, VIC. This standalone role partners with leaders and SMEs to shape learning solutions and build capability across the business.

You'll own the end-to-end learning lifecycle, including digital content creation, LMS administration, and program delivery, to drive practical and engaging learning experiences for teams, stores and customers.

Qualifications

• Experience in Learning & Development, instructional design, learning coordination or a learning business partnering role.
• Strong experience designing and developing creative and engaging learning content, particularly eLearning, digital resources or blended learning materials.
• Confidence using eLearning authoring tools, LMS platforms and digital learning technologies, with the ability to make learning practical and engaging.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the business: Work closely with leaders and subject matter experts to understand learning needs, skill gaps and opportunities to support team capability.
• Design end-to-end learning content: Apply instructional design principles to create practical, engaging learning materials, with a strong focus on eLearning, digital content, blended learning and other creative learning tools.
• Turn knowledge into learning: Translate technical, product and process information into clear, engaging content for different audiences, including teams, stores and customers where required.
• Coordinate and deliver learning programs: Support learning programs, workshops and learning events across online, face-to-face and blended formats, including facilitation where appropriate.
• Support mandatory and compliance learning: Coordinate required training and make the learning process simple, accessible and engaging for learners.
• Improve the learning experience: Use learner feedback, completion data and reporting to improve learning content, participation and overall learner experience.
• Manage LMS activity: Administer learning through our LMS, including course setup, enrolments, learner records, reporting and compliance tracking.

The Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Learning & Development Business Partner to join our People & Culture team, reporting directly to the Chief People Officer.

This is a standalone, end-to-end L&D role with the opportunity to truly partner with the business, understand what our people need to be successful, and recommend engaging, practical and impactful learning solutions. You'll have the autonomy to shape and deliver our learning approach, working closely with leaders and subject matter experts to build capability and confidence across the business.

A key focus will be creating digital and eLearning content that supports our teams, stores and customers with new products, processes and ways of working. You'll also be responsible for the end-to-end learning lifecycle, including needs analysis, solution design, content development, LMS administration, learning coordination, reporting, evaluation and facilitation where appropriate.

This role would suit someone who is creative, curious, commercially minded and hands-on, and who enjoys bringing learning to life. You'll turn complex information into simple, useful and engaging learning experiences — from short eLearning modules, guides and videos through to workshops and blended learning solutions.

What You Bring To The Team

• Experience in Learning & Development, instructional design, learning coordination or a learning business partnering role.
• Strong experience designing and developing creative and engaging learning content, particularly eLearning, digital resources or blended learning materials.
• Confidence using eLearning authoring tools, LMS platforms and digital learning technologies, with the ability to make learning practical and engaging.
• Ability to partner with leaders and subject matter experts to understand learning needs and translate information into practical learning materials.
• Experience administering Learning Management Systems, including course setup, reporting, learner records and compliance tracking; experience with (SuccessFactors LMS and Moodle LMS would be advantageous.)
• Strong written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information for different audiences.
• Developed facilitation and presentation skills, with confidence delivering learning in person and online.
• Relevant qualifications in Learning & Development, Human Resources, Education or a related field; Certificate IV in Training & Assessment would be highly regarded.
• Experience in retail, automotive, franchise, multi-site or technical training environments would be advantageous.
