Job summary

Primero is seeking an experienced Learning and Development Advisor to join our team at the new head office in Perth. You will design, deliver, and continuously improve development programs that build capability across the business.

Reporting to the Manager of Learning and Development, you will partner with stakeholders, lead onboarding initiatives, and manage the LMS while driving a culture of continuous learning.

Qualifications

  • Degree in HR, Organisational Development, Business Psychology or related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of learning and development methodologies, tools, systems, and best practices.
  • Experience partnering with stakeholders to identify needs and deliver learning solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Advise on and improve development programs such as Leadership and Supervisors programs.
  • Support onboarding and create engaging e-learning modules and guides.
  • Participate in career days and industry events.
  • Partner with leads to identify capability needs and translate to learning solutions.
  • Manage the Learning Management System and design engaging content and pathways.
  • Contribute to the Learning and development strategy aligned to business priorities.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and professional growth.

We are seeking an experienced Learning and Development Advisor join our team working from our new head office located on St Georges Tce, Perth. This role will suit a learning and development professional who is passionate about building capability, partnering with stakeholders, and delivering impactful learning experiences.

Reporting to the Manager of Learning and Development, you will play a key role in driving capability across the business through the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of development programs and projects aligned to the Learning and Development strategy.

Offering a high degree of autonomy and ownership, this role sits within a collaborative and engaged team focused on delivering meaningful business outcomes and lasting impact.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Advise on, coordinate and continuously improve development programs, including the Leadership Program, Supervisors Foundation Program and other capability-building initiatives.
  • Support the Onboarding process for new employees, including supporting the creation of engaging e-learning modules, creating relevant onboarding materials and guides.
  • Participate in career days and industry events as required.
  • Partner with functional leads and key stakeholders to identify capability needs and translate them to practical learning solutions.
  • Establish and manage the Learning Management System (LMS), including the design, development and maintenance of engaging e-learning content and learning pathways.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the Learning and development strategy aligned to business priorities and capability needs.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and professional growth across the business.
What You ‘Can Do’
  • Degree qualified in a relevant field such as Human Resource, Organisational Development, Business Psychology, or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of learning and development methodologies, tools, systems, and best practice approaches.
  • Experience in partnering with business stakeholders to identify needs and deliver effective learning solutions.
  • Experience working in Engineering, Mining, and/or Construction sectors is preferred.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on coordination and day-to-day execution, adapting flexibly between design, planning, and delivery tasks.
