Job summary

Primero is seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to join the Projects Team in Australia. You will implement Primero HSE procedures on site, lead inspections, and deliver safety topics in toolbox talks, while supporting fitness-for-work assessments and welfare checks.

Required is a Certificate IV in Work, Health and Safety, 5+ years’ construction site experience, and a valid First Aid/ CPR certificate. White/Blue Card and ability to work in Australia are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate IV in Work, Health and Safety.
• 5+ years' construction site experience.
• Provide First Aid/ CPR certification.
• OHS Construction Induction White/Blue Card.

Responsibilities

• Understand and communicate Primero HSE procedures on site.
• Undertaking daily HSE inspections and observations on site.
• Deliver HSE topics in toolbox talks and prestart sessions.
• Assist with fitness for work and welfare checks.
• Coach HSRs in legislative HSE requirements.
• Support employees in risk assessments (JHA’s, Permits).
• Maintain HSE notice boards.

This is an opportunity to get involved in major projects, work alongside experienced teams and make a genuine impact on safety across site. Your Key Responsibilities

• Understand and communicate Primero HSE procedures and legislative requirements on site in accordance with the project specific HSE Management Plans.
• Undertaking daily HSE inspections and observations on site.
• Play an active role in the delivery of HSE topics in the weekly toolbox and daily prestart sessions.
• Assisting with fitness for work requirements and daily welfare checks.
• Coach and guide HSR’s in their legislative HSE requirements.
• Provide support guidance to employees in the creation of risk assessments (JHA’s, Permits)
• Maintaining HSE notice boards.

What You ‘Can Do’

• Possess a Certificate IV in Work, Health and Safety (Minimum requirement)
• Have a minimum of 5+ years' experience within the construction industry
• Demonstrated site experience in a similar role
• Hold a current Provide First Aid / CPR certificate
• Experienced with Incident Investigation Training (ICAM/Tap Root)
• Have a OHS Construction Induction White / Blue Card
• Demonstrate the Right to Work in Australia
• Must be able to pass a Pre-Employment Medical & Drug and Alcohol Screen
