Job summary

City of Geelong is seeking a Casual Learn to Swim support role in Geelong. You will assist teachers, coordinate class allocations, and help ensure a safe, positive aquatic education experience for children and families.

The role requires First Aid/CPR, WWC check, and potential Police check or medical assessment as part of recruitment. The position is casual with pay at $48.08 per hour (including casual loading) plus super.

Qualifications

• First Aid including CPR.
• Working with Children Check.
• National Police Check and pre-employment medical assessment may be required (funded by the City).

Responsibilities

• Support Learn to Swim Coordinator in delivering a safe, engaging program.
• Provide guidance to Learn to Swim teachers for consistent delivery.
• Allocate children into classes based on skill level and requirements.
• Assist rostering and coordination of Learn to Swim staff for program coverage.
• Monitor teacher performance with the Coordinator.
• Assist with admin tasks like squad groups and pool bookings.
